Things to know before you use tiles

Tiles are nature materials and some discrepancies can occur between different tiles. Color differences are quite common. Ask your salesman of advice.

In wet rooms a moisture barrier has to be done. (Read the industries recommendations). Follow the suppliers’ instructions!

Drop to case drains are harder with bigger tiles but for a certified and experienced craftsman there should be no problem. (Picture for illustration)

If you want a higher comfort and a warmer and softer experience you should install underfloor heating. Your floor will also dry up faster both in the shower and in the hallway from the wet shoes.

The base should be fixed and stabile. In kitchen/wet rooms a special waterproofing is to be done by the current rules zoning.

The base should be clean and dry, any filler or color leftovers shall be removed. Working temperature is to be above 10 degrees.

Concrete has a ripening of at least two months. See the manufacturers’ information.
